Amy Else Foote (she/her), MS, LPC, Sr. Director of Clinical Services

About me: I take a humanistic, person-centered approach to my work with clients and clinicians. I love the work that I do and especially enjoy supporting people in connecting to and honing their passions while maintaining wellness. I recharge in nature; at the coast or in the forest.
Specialties: In my Clinical work, I specialize in treating trauma, with a special focus on complex trauma and intergenerational trauma.
Education: I received training in Somatic Attachment Focused Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) through the Personal Transformation Institute. I have also received training on Somatic approaches to Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy and Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) to treat symptoms of trauma within a parent/child dynamic. I am a Certified Dream Work practitioner and am currently in my second year of training to become a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist. I have also completed the education requirements as part of a CADC-R and have received training in Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT). I have completed the training requirements to serve as an approved supervisor for clinicians seeking licensure as Counselors or Marriage and Family Therapists. I receive ongoing training to incorporate best practices into my supervisory work.
Lizzy Cyrus (she/her), QMHA, Skills Trainer

Education: I obtained a Bachelor’s of Education with emphasis in Family and Human Services from the University of Oregon in 2017 and have completed additional post-degree training in areas including trauma-informed care and dialectical behavioral skills training, Motivational Interviewing, and Polyvagal systems. I am certified with the Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) as a qualified mental health associate (QMHA) as well as a Certified Alcohol and Drug specialist level II.
Specialties: I work with individuals and their therapists to help them gain skills that will help them meet the goals on their treatment plan. I believe that it is my responsibility to explain how learning a skill can have a positive impact on an individual’s life, to demonstrate the skill, to practice the skill along with an individual, and support them to be ready to use the skill outside of their meetings with me. I believe that it is the responsibility of the individual I am working with to actively participate in skills training by keeping regular appointments and challenging themselves to take small, meaningful steps toward their goals. While there may be times when I am able to offer some supportive case management, I am focused on helping improve individuals’ confidence and ability to complete tasks of daily living without assistance so that they can be as self-sufficient as possible. I use strategies and concepts within a framework of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and trauma-informed care.
About me: I have been with ShelterCare since 2012. Outside of work, I enjoy time with my family, gardening, and arting.
Michael Morrison (he/him), QMHA, Skills Trainer

Specialties: I am excited to begin working with you to explore and develop skills that have been proven to make life a little bit easier to navigate. Having my own history of homelessness and facing the many challenges that come with it, I believe in paying what I have learned forward in the same way that those before me have done.
Education: I joined ShelterCare’s Behavioral Health Program in 2020, and I’ve since earned the title of a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA). In this role, my goal is to meet you where you are and actively explore each challenge together with unconditional positive regard.
About me: While not at work, I enjoy hikes in nature, tabletop and video games, live music, reading, and I spend large amounts of time losing myself in art and philosophy.
