Everyone knows that Jerry’s is the premier destination in Lane County for the home improvement enthusiast. Likewise, ShelterCare is the premier nonprofit in Lane County for the most vulnerable members of the homeless community. For over ten years Jerry’s has generously supported ShelterCare’s work with homeless families, adults with psychiatric disabilities, and those that have acquired brain injuries. From our House Warming
Auction to Jack-o-Lanterns on Broadway, Jerry’s has been unwavering in their support for ShelterCare and the people we serve,” says Susan Ban, Executive Director. Our partnership with Jerry’s has enabled ShelterCare to engage
the community and grow. In the last three years, with their support, ShelterCare’s Jack-o-Lantern event in October grew to attract over 5,000 carved pumpkins, each one representing a boost in community support for our programs, and financial commitment from Jerry’s.
“Events are a fun and effective way to generate money for the organization, but perhaps more importantly, they generate awareness and allow us to engage new members of our community,” says Ban. As a locally owned business,
Jerry’s dedication to a strong and healthy community is reflected in the many worthy organizations they support.
